Michael Fleming is no longer a candidate for mayor of Las Cruces, and Ryan Dailey is no longer a candidate for the District 4 seat on the city council.
The city clerk’s office disqualified both because they didn’t submit enough valid petition signatures.
With Fleming out of the race, incumbent Ken Miyagishima faces District 2 Councilor Dolores Connor and Michael Ray Huerta in the Nov. 8 election. Dailey’s departure from the race leaves incumbent Nathan Small facing Aaron Henry Diaz.
