Dem U.S. Senate candidates attack Wilson
Instead of going after each other, Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Hector Balderas and Martin Heinrich attacked likely GOP nominee Heather Wilson during a debate on Sunday.
From the Albuquerque Journal, which co-sponsored the debate along with KOAT-TV in Albuquerque:
“The men agreed on virtually every issue, from reform of education to support of gay marriage to their disdain for partisan gridlock.
“Most of all, they were in lockstep in saying the former five-term congresswoman is not what New Mexico needs. Wilson is the wrong candidate, the Democrats said, if Washington is to revise priorities that put tax breaks for millionaires ahead of Medicare and Social Security recipients.”

Republicans’ refusal to compromise is what’s causing the gridlock.
Nothing is getting done in Washington and the country suffers for it
We have a fine example right here, according to widely respected political reporter Heath Haussamen:
By threatening to unseat legislators who have stood in her way, Martinez has bet that she can remake the Legislature in this year’s election rather than compromising with her foes.

Nothing is getting done in Washington and the country suffers for it. Incumbents are ineffective, and if anyone thinks
Wilson or any newbie will do better is dreaming. It just boils down to politicians saying what people want to hear, and when
the dust settles, it’s back to the same old games. I see little potential for leadership among those running now or in the future.
These two said:
“…their disdain for partisan gridlock.” And “Wilson is the wrong candidate, the Democrats said, if Washington is to revise priorities that put tax breaks for millionaires ahead of Medicare and Social Security recipients.”
Anyone see a connection here to explain “partisan gridlock”? Will either of these two Democrats solve it?
Here is the conservative Club for Growth group even attacking Heather Wilson in 2008 in a TV ad for her love of ballets and her earmark frenzy in Congress!

Ms. Wilson’s record in Congress is surely pitiable when she is criticized by both the right and left.
Why not attack Ms. Heather Wilson. Her record in Congress was dismal. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) considered her one of the most corrupt members in Congress in 2007.

Now Heather Wilson has joined the extremists in her party. This agenda that Ms. Wilson is now pushing would have dire consequences for New Mexico. So the Democratic candidates are right in attacking her positions.
