The Democratic candidates for New Mexico’s 1st District seat in the U.S. House will participate in their first joint forum on April 28.
All three candidates – Marty Chávez, Eric Griego and Michelle Lujan Grisham – have confirmed attendance at the forum, which will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 2401 12th St. NW in Albuquerque.
The forum is sponsored by the Ward 11A Democrats. It’s been advertised as an “old fashioned town hall meeting.”
“Put your name in the ‘hat’ to ask a question of the Democratic 1st Congressional District candidates,” a flyer for the forum states.
The candidates haven’t all agreed to any other forums, though there’s discussion about one on May 5 and a possible TV debate closer to the June 5 primary.
