Hey sparks – I appreciate susana’s ads … gotta love public relations experts – the right lighting, the right words, the rigth scene … but I saw her ad this morning and it doesn’t quite make the ‘good’ standard. As for your other comments … junior high comments normally appear when there isn’t anything more intelligent or meaty to say. I’m with ched – did the other candidates kick your dog or something? No analysis, no meat, no insight … just cheap, childish rhetoric. Go figure …
It is good knowing that Susana fights for victims of crime and takes on criminals. We need someone who will fight for all of us and take on the legislature without a plea bargain. … oops … costly compromise. So I want to know how many plea deals she and her office made and how many they took that were first made by criminals. With this I can gauge how often she will bend and break as our Governor. Providing legislative compromises that will only raise taxes “a little” is not what Republicans want. This part of her record is needed to provide the insight Republicans need to measure how she will govern. I think only Turner is unafraid to use the veto-pen as often as Johnson. A taste for prosecutions will not balance our budget. By itself, fighting corruption will not bring more jobs to New Mexico.
We don’t need a DA in the Governor’s Office; we need an attorney general who will do the job.
We need “a Governor “in the Governor’s Office more than we need a DA, or a war hero, or a successful businessman, or another attorney. There is one best candidate. There is one with the necessary skill set to be Governor.
If there is anyone with any particular gubernatorial skill in excess of JAJ’s, I would like someone to point to it.
Re; your ad hominem attacks on the candidates, and your disrespectful characterizations of them, I’m curious what any of them did, specifically, to earn your disrespect.
It’s about time one of these gubernatorial candidates shows what they’re going to do for the state. Susana has an amazing background as DA in Dona Ana County and she’ll bring those skills to Santa Fe to help clean-up the corruption that has occurred there under the Richardson/Denish Administration. I’m glad she’s running like she is, instead of as an old war hero or a guy running who wants to be Gary Johnson.
garciam2007r, as compared to whom?
Allen Weh? His ads look like he is running for General David Patreus job as Supreme Commander of Iraq and Afganistan.
Doug Turner? Looks and talks like he’s running for Senior Class President.
Pete, Jr.? Looks like he believes that Daddy can get him elected governor.
Aunt Janice? Looks like she’s running for Superintendent of New Mexico Schools.
Susana’s ad shows that she is tough on crime, especially illegal immigration and corruption in this state. She’s awesome and will make an awesome governor.
From the looks of this ad it seems to me that Martinez is running for DA. Thanks but no thanks! We are looking for a Governor. NEXT!
Good sound bites!
How refreshing to see a candidate from Las Cruces running for statewide office, especially for Governor! This is the infusion of fresh and bold talent people from all around our state have been craving for quite some time. She is incredibly competent, capable and ready to take on the mess in Santa Fe.
She has my support! I wish her the very best!
