Wedum -

A fishing expedition is a great term, especially for the one Democrats are on with the White's peak land swap and Pat Lyons.

Wedum's comment is appropriate for another argument - it is irrelevent here. Macquigg is on point - the information is part of the public record and the reasons for the request are not pertinent other than to help the agency better determine the extent of the request ... some requests aren't clear. Suspect Weh's was pithy and to the point.

According to the Inspection of Public Records Act, it is against the law to ask a requester to explain why they want the records. Weh's motive doesn't play under the law, no matter what it was.

Weh is just on a fishing expedition, trying to prove he is the toughest Republican candidate. Has he voluntarily released any of his campaign records yet? That would be going above and beyond the letter of the law.

A simple test of her integrity; have any of the records in the "overly burdensome" been surrendered? Does it take 90 days to find even one of some many records that it will take 90 days to get them all together?

If no records have been surrendered at all, it doesn't sound like any have, it would be clear that the law is being manipulated to avoid their surrender.
