Martinez said. “I think that most of us agree that we have taken a very precise difficult scalpel to the expenditure side"

Where is the evidence of the surgery? They refuse still, to put the entire budget on the table for examination. He insists that we take his word for where the fat is and that he has cut it out, we really have no idea about either.

Janice Arnold-Jones is advocating for pulling state employees it to testify before legislative committee, to point to the actual waste, incompetence and corruption. Instead, the powers that be, want to just keep moving the shells around on the table so we can't see what is really going on.

The budget needs to get off the dime. At some point - ya gotta get your butt in gear. We could wait on Washington DC until doomsday but I see them in a quagmire similar to what I'm sensing in Santa Fe ... so take a course and get going! COME ON ... the legislature has been in session for 13 days and what do we have? Stalemate. The D's have the bully pulpit and the numbers - take charge and do something. Obviously, however, doing business the same old way it has always been done isn't working. Stupid! If ya need to raise taxes - do it. If you figure out where the waste in government is, in spite of the obstructive nature of some of the department secretarys and the administration - DO IT. If the Rs aren't going to participate - ignore them (oh - that IS the same old way of doing business, sorry ...). Lead. Two weeks to go - PLEASE avoid a special session ... focus on the ball ... do the peoples business .. IT IS THE BUDGET, STUPID!
