Fund the budget for this group for a year with guaranteed money. As corrupt as the State is I am sure they will find more than enough waste and "pay to play" to keep the group funded. Put the crooks in jail and clean it up. Once its known that its no longer corruption...i mean...business as usual the cost will not be as high for some compliance officers. That doesn't sound the least bit promising. We need ethics reform passed into law; not just a mere attempt. I seriously doubt this will pass because too many politicos will be exposed for what they are. If this legislation is made with real teeth and passes, we may see an out flux of senior legislators that are no longer able to reap the "fringe benefits" they enjoyed for so many years. This may be the best outcome. We know how business is done. Heath put it best when he described his attitude as "tired" in regard to the behavior of Bill Richardson and his cronies.
