Rep. Gray endorses Martinez in gubernatorial race

Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez picked up another endorsement today – this one from state Rep. William Gray, R-Artesia.
“Susana is an accomplished public servant who inspires confidence and hope,” Gray said in a news release from the Martinez campaign. “She is a strong conservative who has campaigned successfully in a county where Republicans are outnumbered nearly three to one, which demonstrates Susana has the experience and track record necessary to beat Diane Denish next fall.”
Martinez is competing in the GOP primary against state Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones, public relations professional Doug Turner and former state GOP Chairman Allen Weh.

With or without the endorsements, Susana Martinez has people who know her and her work as a DA and trust her working at the grass roots level. She is building a strong political base that will carry her into the roundhouse.Endorsements only lend credibility to the respect the people in high positions and positions of authority have for her. This respect is carried along to the public at large and helps them to make a good decision. If the people of thus state have learned anything (which I hope they have) it is that voting a straight ticket can be detrimental to what they want.Bill Richardson played to the senses of the people by spending money increasing the size of state government, appointing lackeys to be his yes men and on foolish endeavors and took this state into a huge deficit, which made him popular at the time. Now the People seem to have awakened to a day of ‘it’s time to pay the piper’ and hopefully realize that Martinez is the hope for the state. She is hands down a better choice than Denish.
Just to try and keep hold of the logic trail here … AHD doesn’t believe endorsements do much good … so clearly Susanna is the only one that can beat Denish. Got it. Lets look for some substance first …
She just keeps ‘racking up’ more and more endorsements. Personally, I don’t believe endorsements do much good but they don’t do bad. The NM GOP is clearly recognizing the fact that Susana is the ONLY Republican that can beat the ethically challenged Denish campaign. Go Susana!
