Nevertheless, the past is catching up to the present.   If local and state government do not whack all segments of this disease NOW, while some slim chance of recovery remains then the parasites will migrate to metastasizes the whole, thereby killing the host (private sector taxpayer) that holds-up govt.  Yes, those of us who have our hands in other people’s pockets will succumb to the long term illness of poverty, but the alternative is far worse than any nightmare imaginable. Yesteryears’ thievery is a pittance compared to the political arrogance demonstrated today. Nevertheless, the past is catching up to the present.
