Hmm! makes one wonder about the job furloughs the governor wants. Does this include the people hired on stimulus jobs also? If so that is like taking Federal money away from an employee and putting it in the State. Is this exactly legal? How does this effect the people holding those temporary jobs, etc. I think there should be a larger cut in the Governor's appointees. That would leave the little people more to work with. Cutting jobs at the lower level and forced furloughs are not the answer to the shortfall problem. But the Governor thinks he knows how to do it better. If he truly knew better, why are we in the shortfall dilemma now?

Once again, after thousands of private jobs have disappeared, the bloated government bureaucracy stands unchanged, with only "vacant" jobs lost. This trend of the productive, taxpaying jobs leaving and the government staying big and sucking more tax money from fewer and fewer taxpayers is not sustainable. This plays well to the teachers unions, SEIU, and AFSMW unions, but what about us poor taxpayers? Government jobs do not create economic growth, creativity, free enterprise, or leverage. There has to be shared sacrifice between government and private companies. The government is doing nothing while free enterprise and private companies and their employees foot the bill for everything the politicians and government unions want.
