Obama is seeking re-election. Involving himself with an appointment of Bill Richardson would involve him with on going allegations of corruption. ”pressure from the governor’s office resulted in the corruption of the procurement process” and “should not be interpreted as exoneration of anyparty’s conduct in that matter.”

All this is a lot of [taxpayer] expense and effort on the part of many conscientious investigators, but until the penalties for these crimes approach 100% of the profits the alleged conspirators made, they (and future greedy slugs) are not going to be deterred.

I think you can probably count on Obama bringing Bill into his administration soon after Bill leaves office. Bill will not stay in NM, he doesn’t like it here and is not a New Mexican anyway, he just came here for a cheap political office he could run for and use his ethnicity”. Obama doesn’t care about these issues, unless Bill is indicted, and it seems Obama has control over that as well, ain’t gonna happen.

Of course this explains why then, President Obama has just invited Bill Richardson and his wife to the White House for a State dinner. Huh?! Politics as usual I suppose. Taxpayer be damned!!
